INCOMING POST:::
First up ,on Monday I received a bunch of good stuff:
Most Notably including a funny Mail Art Postcard from Bittanny Ukulele of SendSomething.
AND, the most incredible Package EVER!!! from my Penfriend Dangerous Mustache:
First Part- It comes in this beautiful Mail Art package, so I knew it was going to be good.
Second, I open it up and Holy Smokes (!) I've never seen a package filled with such a plethora of good stuff!!! Can you believe how cool this is????
THIRD- Jenna has Made me a MUSTACHE BANDANNA!!! So fucking rad, absolutely amazing!!!!!
(The rest of the week was pretty good for mail, but couldn't even come close to competing with Monday's haul if you ask me!!)
A photo postcard of some street art sighted in Portugal. My Portugese is a little rusty, but based on the context I'm pretty sure it says "Gestures that we repeat". Preeettyyy Cool if you ask me...
A wonderful letter, followed by a postcard- from my Penpal Lynn- who has the best envie stationery if you ask me! She also kindly sent me some vintage (& new) postage to gussy up my letters. :)
Received these wonderful things from my Pen Friend Kimbo in Boston. Not only a really thoughtful letter to read, but also a patch from my her punk rock band (which is SO good by the way- check it out!). And, she works at Peet's coffee and hooked me up with a gorgeous filligree-style glass and a whole tin of a delicious Winter Solstice tea blend (black tea, cloves, dried orange peel! Yum)
Incredibly, I received another great letter and cup from a different penpal in the same week. This one is a cute whale tea mug that my friend Candace sent as a housewarming present to tide me over for all the wintertime tea drinkin'.
LOTs.... of Mail art postcards were sent out last week, including:
A Portrait I drew of the cute Pitbull I live with, affectionately referred to as Evie Noodle Tail, or Eve for short. Sent to mail artist Angie and her dog Snooki.
"Dark Thoughts" collage p-c sent to Melusina of Swap-bot.
"Making Space and Time" collage p-c.
A personal favorite for collaged pieces lately- sent to fellow Mail Artist with the alias "Amazon59"
"Birds of a feather" sent to Brittany Ukulele of SendSomething- a fellow member of the Mail Art flock. :)
