Sent Some Mail Out Yesterday...

Nothing too epic, just three pieces, including...

A Mod Podged card for my lovely friend Candace. (Note: I created one similar to this a week or two ago, and I liked the design so much that I decided to replicate it)

A colorful, fantastical postcard for my friend Jona- who likes magical themes and the color blue, which I tried to subtly integrate into the piece as much as I could (can you tell)?

And, an embroidered postcard for my Penpal Jonia who has recently developed a great fondness for Moles. Which, by the way, are much neater than one would think- I mean, they can HEAR an earthworm chewing- isn't that crazy????

Going Postal---

Rec'vd a few lovely things today, always a good Mail day.....

Not only did Sienna send me two darling vintage postcards, a bit of X-tra stationery, & a nice note- but the she drew a Train <3 on the envelope! Oh, if only there was more train-inspired Mail Art out there!!! (Perhaps I'm just going to have to start creating it myself)

A charming postcard from the very-talented Mail Artist Fast Eyes.

As though getting a train-decorated envelope wasn't enough for one day, I also got a BIKE-themed vintage envie (& quite a good letter within to boot!) from my penpal Lynn. More bike Mail Art too, that's what this world needs!!!!

(Forgot to post this earlier, but a few pictures of a package I sent earlier in the week to my Penfriend DangerousMustache of SendSomething.....)

FRONT AND BACK of the Mail Art Envie I sent...

AND
Front and Back of a card I crafted for her. This is before I covered it in glossy Modpodge. I'm glad to finding ways to re-purpose my used tea bags as I go through them so quick!

These Postal Tides have been strong lately....

Bringing in such gifts from the Mail ocean, and I've been sending lots of letters and notes in bottles (or envies, if you prefer).

INCOMING POST:::
First up ,on Monday I received a bunch of good stuff:

Most Notably including a funny Mail Art Postcard from Bittanny Ukulele of SendSomething.

AND, the most incredible Package EVER!!! from my Penfriend Dangerous Mustache:

(The rest of the week was pretty good for mail, but couldn't even come close to competing with Monday's haul if you ask me!!)

A photo postcard of some street art sighted in Portugal. My Portugese is a little rusty, but based on the context I'm pretty sure it says "Gestures that we repeat". Preeettyyy Cool if you ask me...

A wonderful letter, followed by a postcard- from my Penpal Lynn- who has the best envie stationery if you ask me! She also kindly sent me some vintage (& new) postage to gussy up my letters. :)

Received these wonderful things from my Pen Friend Kimbo in Boston. Not only a really thoughtful letter to read, but also a patch from my her punk rock band (which is SO good by the way- check it out!). And, she works at Peet's coffee and hooked me up with a gorgeous filligree-style glass and a whole tin of a delicious Winter Solstice tea blend (black tea, cloves, dried orange peel! Yum)

Incredibly, I received another great letter and cup from a different penpal in the same week. This one is a cute whale tea mug that my friend Candace sent as a housewarming present to tide me over for all the wintertime tea drinkin'.
